Maybe we should all take a moment, just to “be.”
Our every day might go better if we stopped and took a moment to ground ourselves.
Take in a deep breath. Welcome anything that might make us smile. And then, take some time to give thanks. There is a lot to be thankful for. But mostly we have been given the precious gift of being here, just as we are.
Most of us are always moving through a checklist, whether it be work, chores, errands, or other obligations. We rush from one thing to the next. And when this happens, we barely notice that the sun rose and set in the meantime.
But pausing with a single breath gives us a reminder that we are not our “lists.” We are human beings. And that alone is reason enough for gratitude.
Gratitude. When we stop and notice the small things in our every day, we can realize that this is something extraordinary. This all reminds us that being alive, in this exact moment, is a miracle we often overlook.
May we remember to take another breath of gratitude today. And to pass this energy, this thankfulness, onto the world around us. May we always notice the life to be lived.
So let’s take another breath. Let’s smile again. And let’s remember to carry this thankfulness with us. Not just in the quiet moments, but into the noisy ones too. Because life isn’t meant to be perfect. It’s meant to be lived.

Slow it down, there mister. Or sister. Just slow it down.
