The wild photos. Wild.

I love photography.  It has an engaging way of stopping time.  One little frame, and suddenly you’re thrust back into your very own history. Or perhaps someone else’s. The photo might be of people. But it can be anything.  One of my favorite genres is wildlife photography, from the hefty polar bear to the slow turtle. They all have so much to say.

I recently saw the results from the Wildlife Photographer of the Year contest, which is run by the Natural History Museum in London.

It put forth its People’s Choice shortlist.  This includes 25 images selected from nearly 50,000 entries. These all came from 95 different countries.
I rarely just point to another source, but these photos are well worth a look.

Photography acts as a reminder to us in so many different ways. It tells us to take notice of our moments.  It reminds us that once a second ticks by on the clock, we can never go back to that moment again.

Unless, of course, we have a photograph.
