I’m not sure what the cost of living might be in Camden, Ohio. But I can tell you this. It is a lot less than New York City.

According to the Economist Intelligence Unit’s annual Worldwide Cost of Living Index, prices rose an average of 7.4% in the past year. This is led by groceries.
The tariffs imposed by Donald Trump (and related trade policies) have been a contributing factor to higher prices and inflation in the U.S.. This is not the only cause, but the tariffs have caused hardships for Americans and everyone else.

The survey covered 173 major cities, comparing over 400 prices across 200 goods and services—everything from bread to broadband. The survey excluded Venezuela’s Caracas since its prices soared more than 450% in a single year! Ouch.
So, if you ever find yourself grumbling about grocery prices, just remember that we are not alone. Because somewhere in Zurich, someone’s paying double for milk, triple for coffee, and quadruple for Ho-Hos.
