Learning New Things By Linda Stowe
I can’t say that I’ve spent much time in my life being bored, but sometimes I feel like I am at a crossroads and I’m not sure which way to go. This is not a situation where things are as clear-cut as I’m on Path A and now I’m ready to head for Path B. That’s too easy. What I’m looking for is a bonus path, a path I have not envisioned.
I like to learn new things but there is an inherent problem with that. If something is new that means I don’t know about it. It has not yet arrived on my doorstep.
You might think that would be a simple fix: just go out and look for it. Scroll through a bunch of articles, look at a few random videos. That doesn’t work. All it does is confuse the algorithm and it starts sending suggestions like Grandmas who Bongo or Composting for Fun and Profit. Not what I had in mind. Instead, I have learned to sit through those fallow moments and wait for the path to become evident. Trust that The Universe will deliver because it always does.

Polly here.
Once again, I absolutely love the musings of Linda Stowe.
I think the reason I love this one so much is that it describes the mindset I have so often. I want to learn new things. But as Linda said: How do we know?
Sometimes we learn new things by necessity. But the truth is, I’d rather learn new things by my own choice. The things that I ferret out, or perhaps the ones that drop in my lap.
The best line of all of this?
“Trust that The Universe will deliver because it always does.”
This is my hope, always.
I need to always be open to what the Universe might be telling me
