The most fun states in the USA

Most people love to have fun.  I like a good bit of fun here and there.
What is fun? Well, as defined, it is enjoyment, amusement, or lighthearted pleasure. For some, it is watching a movie. Others like to travel abroad for fun.  Some people like baking, or gardening, or riding roller coasters.  Others think it is fun to read a book. Fun is many things to all people. Everywhere. So.  With that said it might be helpful to know where we can go to have fun.

Well. In a recent article in Reader’s Digest, they measured the United States.  And. They picked out the 20 most fun states in the USA.

They used a wide range of data sources to create this semi-objective list of the most fun states in America. To get the most accurate ranking possible, the site used two main categories: “Entertainment and Recreation” and “Nightlife.”

(Here is how they measured things:  “The study took 26 different factors into consideration to score each state on a 100-point scale, with higher scores indicating more fun and affordable options. The data included the number of attractions, variety of entertainment, quality of weather, access to parks, and nightlife factors like bar availability, last call times, and music festivals.”).

So. There it is.  The criteria.  And here they are.

The Most Fun-Filled States in the U.S.

Florida
California
Nevada
New York
Colorado
Illinois
Texas
Washington
Minnesota
Louisiana
Arizona
Oregon
Pennsylvania
North Carolina
Ohio
Wisconsin
Missouri
South Carolina
Maryland
Alaska

The top two, Florida and California, are both popular U.S. vacation destinations. They both have Disney places.  World and Land.

People think of spring break when it comes to Florida, but the Sunshine State has even more to offer. It contains a variety of restaurants, music festivals, parks, and more.  And California also features plentiful amusement parks, outdoor destinations, and delicious dining options.
Nevada must be all about Vegas. What happens there stays there, and all.

Many of these rankings aren’t much of a shock.  Like New York, Colorado, and on.

But how about Minnesota?  It came in number nine. It has a whole big lot of performing arts theaters.

Of course, everyone’s idea of fun is different.  If you’re someone who hates crowds and loud noises, you’ll probably want to steer clear of this list for the most of it.  Perhaps I should have listed the least fun states for all the introverts out there.

As I said, fun is in the eye of the beholder.
