Here is something for all of us to remember. In these times, when there seems to be so much going wrong in the world, specifically in the United States, we should always understand that we cannot mend the entire world. We can’t fix the huge problems. We are small and the world is large.
And yet? We can fix things. We can pick up some litter. We can put the stray grocery cart into the corral. We can hold the door open or let someone through in traffic. We can tell someone they did a good job at something.
Fixing the big world and fixing the small things around us are not the same thing. But. They are part of the same thing, which is all there is. We should try our best to allow life to expand itself through us. Each and every moment. We do our good where we can, and we help to make this big, broken thing a little better, a little easier. We invite grace into our world.
