I like science. Most people do. They just don’t acknowledge it.
Smartphones? Science made them.
Medication for your anything? Science made it.
Air conditioning? Yep. Science.
People who scoff at science and scientists should quit driving, stop using the toilet, and give up taking vacations via an airplane because science made all of these things possible.
Anyway, In honor of science, I may start offering a few “trivia questions” here for all to have fun with.
And here are three and their answers below:
1. Trivia question: The concept of gravity was discovered by which famous physicist?
2. Trivia question: How many colors are in the rainbow?
3. Trivia question: True or False? Electrons are smaller than atoms.
Answers:
Answer: Sir Isaac Newton.
Answer: Seven.
Answer: True.
So there they are. Does your brain feel smarter?
Well, here is another thing, then.
Your brain is constantly eating itself. This process is called phagocytosis, where cells envelop and consume smaller cells or molecules to remove them from the system. But hey. Have no fear. Phagocytosis isn’t harmful, but actually helps preserve your grey matter.
Because grey matters.
But more than that, there is this.
Science is crucial because it deepens our understanding of the natural world and the universe. A lot of people shun science. And yet? It drives technological advancements that enhance our quality of life. Would they give up their cell phones I wonder.
Science provides methods for solving complex problems. All of them. It ultimately plays a fundamental role in shaping our understanding of the world and our future.
We need it.
I’ll be taking a short break now. More about it tomorrow.
