Glogg. Do you know it? Have your own. Today.

The world is full of things we don’t know.  And so we experience life, and we learn.

Like this.  I happened across “Glogg.”
Glogg is a Scandinavian punch made of claret and aquavit with spices, raisins, orange peel, and sugar.   I didn’t know what claret was.  Or aquavit.  So I looked them up.

Claret. A red wine from Bordeaux, or wine of a similar character made elsewhere.
Aquavit. An alcoholic spirit made from potatoes or other starchy plants.

I don’t drink alcohol. So I don’t care, and I will never try this.  I would not even give it to a chimp.  Or an aardvark.  Or anyone.  It just seems wrong.   Drinking potatoes and raisins at the same time.  Or at any time, for that matter.

At least they could have done was serve up some sort of potato patties instead.  With a nice glass of orange juice.  That would be my Glogg.

I know. I am goofy. But I am of German descent.  Not Scandinavian. As such, potato patties seem a lot better.

So today, enjoy your Glogg. Whatever kind of Glogg that might be.  As long as it brings you joy.
