I am an introvert. It is no secret. I’ve discussed it here, on this blog, at length. Nonetheless, when someone meets me, they will figure it out sooner or later.
To be clear, I like people a lot. I love quite a few and hold them very near to my heart. I find people interesting and wonderful. Well. Some more than others. I enjoy being with the very good people in my life.
Most of the time.
But, the overarching thing about me is that I am an introvert. I need to say clearly that being an introvert does not equate with a dislike for other human beings. And while I enjoy time all by myself the most, I am not a loner.
I just prefer my personal sanctuary. My safe, comfortable space. When I’m by myself, I feel like there is some invisible liner from the rest of the world. And that insulation, or layer, or whatever it is, helps me to find inner peace.
Ultimately, that is what feels best to me.
The place, the time, the actuality of knowing peace.
In an internal way.
