I always say I won the lottery when it came to my parents. I had a couple of good ones. I can not imagine growing up in a better home. They were loving to one another and loving to us kids. All seven of us.
But we had rules. Maybe even a lot of rules.
The rules that were in place in our home on 134 E. Bruce Avenue instilled good character in each one of us kids. We developed a line of integrity and discipline in many areas. It’s not like we had to march around in little matching uniforms or set our forks down on the table in between each bite. Far from it. But there was order in the house, and so we learned.
So.
My QOD, Question of the Day, is this:
Was there any one rule in your house growing up that was excessively strict?
Or. Was there a rule in particular that you did not like?
