The brain keeps working. I threw a ball.

How old was I when I threw my first ball?

I could have been one, or two, or three.
I imagine it happened sometime around then.

This comes to mind because I’ve been thinking about the human brain and how it works. Our memories. Our awareness. Our mental consciousness.

I just read an article about our brain activity in the moments before and after we die. Scientists have caught these brain waves.  However it may be, they go about catching these things. Probably with one of their spectrometers or perhaps with an electroencephalogram.

No matter. They catch them, and then they measure them.  They can see that we have activity at death that is similar to when we dream or meditate.

As it is now, I can’t remember the first time I threw a ball. But maybe I will know the answer ten seconds after I die.
