Thinking by Linda Stowe

This commentary by Linda Stowe is not long in words, but it is endless in wisdom.

She talks about the recent trends in how people “view” certain issues. But with this, she observes: “Their outrage is created, not organic.”

The phrase “brilliant” is becoming overused these days. But to Linda’s writing in this piece.
I give a resounding “brilliant.”

Have a good think today.

Thinking For Ourselves by Linda Stowe

When Fox News fired Tucker Carlson, I heard a joke about his viewers saying that with him gone, they would not know who to hate.
Like all jokes, this comment had an element of truth. I don’t follow these things closely, but I understand that over time this group has had issues with Aunt Jemima, green M&M’s, Bud Light, and Dr. Seuss, among others. It seems unlikely that large groups of people would be aware of these aspects of our culture without someone telling them. Their outrage is created, not organic.
That makes me wonder whether these people think for themselves, or are their politics primarily based on emotional reactions and outrage. To live day-to-day festering on anger and outrage can’t be good for their physical or mental health.
