Walk this way. Walk this way.

I like to walk.

It hasn’t been around forever.

You see.

Approximately seven million years ago, our early ancestors predominantly relied on tree climbing and moved on all fours when they were on the ground.

As time progressed, around 5 million years ago, our ancestors evolved the ability to walk upright on two legs.

And we’ve been doing it since.
A lot, it seems.

The average adult will take enough steps in their lifetime to travel around the world three times. That’s what they say. And if you want it in miles, here it is. A staggering 75,000 miles.

Given our life spans, this means that a person takes around 7,500 steps per day. And that adds up to approximately 2.5 million steps in a year. I take about 16,000 steps per day. I guess I’m heading around the big blue ball about seven times, or so.

When I pass through Egypt, guess what I’ll do? Walk like an Egyptian.

These boots were made for walking. And that’s just what they’ll do.

So?
Today, let’s all take a walk on the wild side.
