I know. I know. That darn Zodiac thing again. But here is the truth. I am such a Taurus. There are no two ways about this.
I don’t really buy into the whole horoscope thing, as I’ve mentioned before. But there is something to be said for the descriptions of our personalities in the signs of the Zodiac.
And today’s installment concerning this nonsense? Our favorite hobbies according to our Sun Signs.
Perhaps we are searching for something new and exciting and interesting and fun to fill our time. Well, the article I read said we should look to the stars.
Each of the Zodiac signs comes with its own set of strengths, weaknesses, and interests. So, they say that using our sun sign to find a hobby makes perfect sense.
But let’s look at some things first. We might be off kilter because of the next part.
There are actually 13 Zodiac Constellations. It is true. Astronomically, there are 13 constellations in the Zodiac—not 12. The forgotten one is called Ophiuchus. It is pronounced — off YOU cuss. The Ophiuchus is the serpent bearer. I’m not sure what a serpent bearer does, but it is a dude holding a snake. Anyway, the sun passes through this sign briefly in late November/early December. The people born under this sign are described as healers, knowledge-seekers, passionate, and sometimes rebellious.
So, how did we end up with 12 signs instead of 13? Well. The Babylonians, who developed the Zodiac over 2,500 years ago, deliberately left Ophiuchus out so the Zodiac would align neatly with their 12-month calendar.
I’m just glad I’m not an Ophiuchus. It’s better to be a Bull.
So. That said. Here is our next big hobby, according to our sign.

Leo — Volunteering Creatively
Virgo — Baking
Libra — Lead a Book Club
Scorpio — Gardening

Yoga for me?
Ohhhhmmmmm.

I’m not so sure I’m cut out for the Yoga Life.
