Every day, we make a hundred little choices. Some of those choices are loud and obvious. And then, others are barely noticeable. Like, do I have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or ham salad on soft white bread?
But tucked inside each choice is a chance to practice wisdom.
It is a special kind of wisdom. It isn’t the sort that comes from textbooks or documentaries. Instead, it is the kind we earn through living. We find this wisdom through noticing and listening.
Wisdom doesn’t just arrive at our doorsteps. It isn’t delivered like a package from Amazon.
That understanding is gathered. Bit by bit.
It grows from three places: experience, learning, and intuition.
Experience. We all know it all too well. If we are paying attention, experience teaches us through trial and error. We get those scraped knees when we tumble and fall. We have those awkward moments when we’ve said something wrong. Occasionally, we find small victories that stick.
Learning. It goes with experience, I think. Learning asks us to stay curious, to pay attention to the World around us, and to what others have already figured out. Our World, our Universe is large and largesse. There is so much to learn in every moment.
Intuition. This one doesn’t come freely for everyone. It is that quiet, inner voice, that knowing in our very souls. Intuition reminds us to pause long enough to hear what we already know deep down.
Our choices. Maybe the real secret is to reflect on our day before the day slips away. What did I experience today? What did I learn? What did I hear from myself? Those three questions lead us gently into a moment of quiet clarity.
Wisdom doesn’t rush. It unfolds slowly. And if we let it, it can guide us toward better choices, softer words, and calmer hearts.
Wisdom isn’t found in knowing everything. No. Instead, it’s found in noticing something. Any little thing. Every single day.
It is good for us to keep listening. Not just to the World, but to the quiet voice within it. The Universe is there for us if we let ourselves connect to its greater good. May each day bring us a little closer to understanding not just what we know, but who we are becoming.
