Your crayons. Where, oh where did they go?

All of us had crayons as kids. At least, everyone I’ve ever met colored when they were little.  We loved working away in our little coloring books.   We drew pictures, too.  We made fantastic renditions of our stick houses, with our stick families standing out front.

But at some point, someone told us that coloring was for kids.  We started to believe that the whole artistic deal was childish.  So we put away our boxes of Crayolas and took up other things.

We were told to quit, so we did.  Our love for the artistic side of us faded away.

As adults, not all of us might consider ourselves artistic, at least not in the traditional sense of being skilled in visual arts or music.

And yet, many people express creativity in various forms. There are lots of different ways.  Like writing, cooking, gardening, knitting, and more.  Even in problem-solving or our approach to everyday tasks.

So yes. Artistic expression can take many shapes beyond the conventional arts.  All of these things reflect our individuality and creativity.  It might even be in the way you arrange your home or how you dress and do your hair.

Each thing you do is an expression of your style. You are uniquely artistic.
