Hey. It takes one to know one, beautiful.

There is a lot happening in our world at this very minute. Think of it. Eight billion lives scattered across 197,000,000 square miles of this Earth, all being, all doing. Right now.

The “happenings” going on right now come in many forms. Everything from the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful.
We see what we see.

And.
It is so nice to hear when someone notices the wonder. The awe. The goodness.

“Wow… that’s beautiful!” is something truly great to hear. It might come when someone sees a mountain sunset, or a baby goat dancing and hopping, or a perfectly formed orchid.

But how is it noticed? Where is the beauty? Where is the appreciation of beauty? Where is the ability to discern beauty?

Remarkably, it is within our own consciousness.

I believe the essence of who and what we are is the beauty itself. We are goodness. At our core, we are beauty and grace.

We are able to see the true essence of beauty in external things only because that essence of beauty exists within our own spirit. It emerges in our character as virtue and in our life as care for the things in our outside world.

For what is virtue but love in action?

So. Remember this.

The next time you say, “That’s beautiful!” know that you speak of yourself, and it is you who are beautiful. Always were, always will be.
