I’ve been to some places. Sure, it is true that I don’t travel around like I used to. But one thing I’ve noticed from my experiences is this: A lot of people flock to the same things. Yes. The wonders of the Earth. Not the Big Seven. Those are long gone. But the other wonders. Like, the world’s largest ball of twine in Cawker City, Kansas, by golly.
And here is the thing. The more famous the tourist attraction, the longer you can expect to wait in line for it. Iconic landmarks are known for their gargantuan wait times.
I wouldn’t have guessed it, but Paris’s Eiffel Tower tops the list. I’ve been there a few times but never ventured to go up the thing.
But most people decide that if they want to get the full tourist experience in a major city, they have to “buy the ticket” to see the site. And that means spending a significant portion of the vacation waiting in lines.
So. As you plan ahead, here they are.

Personally, I prefer the Largest Frying Pan in Brandon, Iowa.
Imagine my surprise when I learned I couldn’t actually use it. And after I had taken the time to pack four dozen eggs that trip.
