Tell me what day it is. The middle day. Like a hump.

Camels have three eyelids and two rows of eyelashes to protect their eyes from sand and dust in their harsh environments.
Camels are social animals and often live in groups. They communicate through vocalizations and body language.
And when I say body language, I mean they really “bat” those eyelashes.  All of them.

And, of course, they have humps.  Which brings me to…
Hump Day.

It seems to me to be the only bonafide nickname for a day of the week.
Wednesday. Hump Day.

So, I asked AI at ChatGPT about this.
Here is what Geepy said.

Monday: Often called “Manic Monday” due to the hectic start of the workweek.
Tuesday: Sometimes referred to as “Two’s Day” or “Taco Tuesday” in reference to taco promotions.
Wednesday: Known as “Hump Day,” as it represents the middle of the week.
Thursday: Commonly called “Throwback Thursday,” especially on social media, where people share nostalgic photos.
Friday: Known as “TGIF” (Thank God It’s Friday), marking the end of the workweek and the start of the weekend.
Saturday: Often referred to as “Fun Day,” as many people enjoy leisure activities.
Sunday: Sometimes called “Self-Care Sunday,” emphasizing relaxation and personal time.

I dispute the rest of these. Manic Monday was a song by The Bangles.
Taco Tuesday is new.  Like, in the past five to ten years, new.  We didn’t have Taco Tuesday when I was seven, I’ll tell you.
Throwback Thursday is also new.  Same thing.  In the past decade.  Some radio station in Duluth probably started it.
TGIF is an old saying and the name of a restaurant chain, but it isn’t what people call Fridays.  Not like Hump Day is to Wednesday.
And Saturday, Fun Day?  Never heard of that one.  We had chores on Saturdays.
Finally, Sunday as Self-Care Sunday?  Who’d they talk to, Oprah?  No. Sunday doesn’t have a nickname either, although the Bible will hit it up as The Sabbath.

No. Hump Day is the one and only.  Like those camels.
I should also mention that they have specialized feet. Yes.  Their wide, padded feet help them walk on sand without sinking, making them well-adapted to their desert habitats. They are these cute, two-toed, big, stomper things. To match the humps and the eyelashes.

Needless to say, Wednesdays can be the full package, thanks to our camel friends.
