Those clouds up there. Fluffy for now.

Clouds are pretty amazing.  Every cloud is different. They are unique unto themselves.

Oftentimes, clouds are simply beautiful. White and fluffy, or long and skinny.  On other occasions, they might look a little weird. Like some rhinoceros eating ice cream or something.  And every so often, they can be scary, ominous, powerful.

I could spend a great deal of time watching the clouds.  I love how they reform themselves as they roll past, always shifting and changing.  I imagine them saying, over and over, “I redid myself.  There I go again. I redid myself.”

I watched a show about clouds. It aired some time ago.  Anyway, I learned that the Earth’s atmosphere is a very cloudy place.  They estimate that at any given time, around 67% of Earth’s surface is covered by clouds.

Another thing to consider is that the average size of a cumulonimbus would weigh about 900,000 pounds.  That is roughly the same weight as a 747 airplane.  This amazes me.   To no end.

They seem so light and fluffy, like cotton candy.  But in truth, they are a heavy bunch of boulders.

Life, in many ways, is like the clouds.  In so many ways.

I’ve looked at clouds from both sides now.
