Cows By Linda Stowe

Cows are not party animals. If someone brags about staying out until the cows come home, you can expect him to return in the late afternoon. Why? Well, if you’re a cow who has spent all day grazing and making milk, your udder would start to get uncomfortably full around 5:00 PM. Time to head home to be milked and settle in for a peaceful night in the barn. The only animals out under the light of the moon are predators. They are not party animals either.

Polly here.

Once upon a time, I was a party animal.
Now?  These days?
I am a cow.
My “inner udder self” starts to get uncomfortable in the early evening, and I have to head back to my barn.
My mantra after 60?
Moo, baby. Moooooo.

Are you a party animal these days?
Were you ever?
