Okay. I know, I know. I talk about hamburgers a lot.
Perhaps the reason is this. Most people I know have some famous ancestor. People who came over on the Mayflower, or past presidents. I am pretty sure, though I can’t prove it, that I am cousins with Wimpy. “I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.”
But I am not alone in this. Burgers aren’t just one of America’s favorite foods, they’re a bit of a national obsession. The average American eats about 36 burgers a year outside the home. And get this. There are more than 86,000 burger joints across the country.
Everybody loves them in a different way too. Your way.
But we all know that the best burger in America isn’t always in the mainstream. So many times I’ve found the best burger in a small-town diner or bar. Some roadside shack or even a food truck. Sometimes there are at the fine dining place. They can be hiding anywhere. To that end, Reader’s Digest assembled this list of the best burger in every state.
Their list of the best burgers in every state was created through a mix of online reviews (from sites including Tripadvisor and Yelp), expert input and personal recommendations from burger aficionados.
So here they are. Happy Burger to YOU.
